Johnson and Wright ~hereafter J&W! claim, in their brief communication entitled “Reply to Philipona and O’Regan” that there are various difficulties in the reasoning in Philipona and O’Regan’s ~2006! paper entitled “Color naming, unique hues and hue cancellation predicted from singularities in reflection properties,” which was published in this journal in 2006. These difficulties supposedly prevent our paper’s conclusions from being accepted. In fact, we find that J&W’s arguments are based on a grave misunderstanding of the purpose of our paper, of the results that we present, and of some elementary mathematical concepts. They in no way undermine our conclusions. Call u the triplet of cone quantum catch for the light that is incident on a surface, and v the triplet of cone quantum catch for the light that is reflected off that surface. Philipona and O’Regan ~2006! present results from numerical calculations showing that:

Reply to Philipona and O'Regan.
This paper responds to Philipona and O'Regan (2006), which attempts to account for certain color phenomena by appeal to singularities in the space of "accessible information" in the light striking the retina. Three points are discussed. First, it is unclear what the empirical significance/import is of the mathematical analysis of the data regarding the accessible information in the light. Secon...
متن کاملComparison of Wright Agglutination Test and ELISA in Diagnosis of Brucellosis
Abstract Background and Objective: In our country, the Wright test routinely is used for diagnosing brucellosis. Because of its low sensitivity, the range of false-negative results is high. Therefore, we aimed at comparing Wright and ELISA in the people suspected brucellosis. Material and Methods: The results of Wright, 2ME, Coombs Wright tests were compared with Anti-Brucella IgG, Anti-Bru...
متن کاملEvaluation of Diagnostic Sensitivity of Wright, Coombs Wright and 2-Mercapto Ethanol in Diagnosis of Brucellosis
Background: Brucellosis is one of the important zoonotic diseases with variety of symptoms and signs. Using of cost effective, easy and safe diagnostic methods in screening of brucellosis is an important priority. Several studies have been carried out to recognize appropriate diagnostic methods and each have reported different results. Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the sensitivi...
